Fondation Marconi and museum of the radio
In 1895, Guglielmo Marconi and his local assistant Maurice Gay-Balmaz made the first wireless transmissions in Salvan.
One hundred years after these first tests, a foundation was created to perpetuate the memory of this Italian physicist. A public space in the centre of the village of Salvan recalls his experiments and invites visitors to plunge into the world of telecommunications.
Open daily from 15 July to 15 August from 2 to 6 pm
Outside the summer opening period, guided tours for groups are available.
