Starting from the village of Trient, you will begin this route with an undergrowth ascent that will make you quickly gain height to reach the Catogne mountain pasture. After turning on the French side, the Col de Balme will offer you a magnificent panorama of the Chamonix valley. The itinerary will then lead you towards the Trient glacier by a long balcony path, rather rolling at first, but quickly becoming quite technical... You will then go down into the valley to reach the Buvette du Glacier and continue on a balcony path along the Bisse de Trient. This will be an opportunity to lengthen your stride for 3 km before the final descent to Trient.
