Trail Défi des Gorges du Trient

The Défi des Gorges du Trient has its origins in the old popular walk that used to take place in the commune of Vernayaz. Relaunched in 2017, the Défi des Gorges du Trient is an opportunity to challenge yourself in a wonderful setting and especially to share a moment of relaxation and friendship.

Starting from Vernayaz, the route will lead you to the village of Salvan through the Trient Gorges. The descent to Vernayaz will be done by the route des Diligences and its famous 37 laces.

The race starts in front of the Vernayaz multi-purpose hall. You quickly embark on a dry climb of 230m and less than 1km to the village of Gueuroz, where you can discover one of the highest bridges in Europe. You then follow the Gorges to the place called "La Tailla". After crossing the Trient, you take the last climb towards Salvan and its Moulin Fine. From there you cross the village to the Rochers du Soir before descending via the route des Diligences and its famous 37 bends.

This route is marked out all year round, ideal for your training sessions or for family outings.
