Dam of Barberine

It is often overlooked because when the Emosson dam is full, the water reservoir submerges the old Barberine dam by 42 metres.
To admire the Barberine dam wall, go to Emosson in spring, when the water level is still low. The lake then gradually fills up to reach its maximum annual capacity towards the end of September.
